Description

CDHITOTH reports whether or how frequently the child kicks, bites, or hits other children or adults.

In samples before 2021, this variable reported whether or not the child kicks, bites, or hits others. Starting in 2021, the question included how frequently this action occurred when compared to other children of a similar age. Both concepts are included in this variable using composite coding.

The survey question was addressed to children aged 3 to 4 except for Congo DR 2017, which asked the question of children aged 2 to 4.
