Description
CLWATERHOURS records the total number of hours the child spent fetching water for household use in the last week.
Comparability
This variable is comparable across samples.
Note that CLWATERHOURS is only available for Round 6. In rounds 4 and 5, number of hours spent on fetching water and/or collecting firewood were recorded together in one response. See CLWATERWOODHRS in the "Household Members" unit of analysis for Round 4, and in the "Household Characteristics" unit of analysis for Round 5. Rounds 2 and 3 combined fetching water and collecting firewood with other household chores.
