Description
CPMETHOTHMOD combines country-specific variables that indicate the respondent used a modern contraceptive method not included among the standard response categories shared by all MICS surveys. The identification of modern vs. traditional is based on the groupings on the questionnaire for the specific survey.

The particular "other" method(s) included in CPMETHOTHMOD differ by sample and can be identified from the questionnaire for each survey.
The most commonly included other modern methods are the contraceptive patch and emergency pill.
