Description

DVADRESS denotes whether the respondent thinks that a husband is justified in hitting or beating his wife if she is dressed inappropriately.

This variable includes information for both women and men respondents.

Comparability

The language varies by country. Some samples refer to dressing provocatively, dressing in a way that is not suitable for her husband, or dressing in a way that her husband considers inappropriate. See the questionnaire text for specific language.
