For most samples, this variable specifically excludes the woman's current husband or partner for women who are married or living with a man. Such incidences can be found in DVPSEX, DVPSEXACT, and DVPSEXTHREAT and DVPREVSEX for a previous husband or partner for divorced, widowed, or separated women.
