Comparability — Index

GENERAL
Mongolia

Comparability

While the variable is comparable in meaning, the universes vary across samples. In many cases, the universe is for women and men who have not attended school at all or only attended primary school. In some countries, respondents who attended lower secondary school or other non-standard curriculum may also be included in the universe.

Religious schools such as Koranic or Madrasa and vocational or technical schools are included in the universes for few samples.

Round 6 includes persons who are blind or vision impaired within "No sentence in the language of the person" by considering Braille a language. This differs from the earlier rounds where persons with a disability resulting in them unable to read the sentence (blind, vision impaired or mute) are coded to a distinct category.

Comparability — Mongolia [top]

All Mongolia samples define the universe as "attended or completed less than 5 grade of a secondary school".
