Description

TELEVISION reports whether the household has a television. This variable may include black and white, color, and/or plasma televisions.

Comparability

Along with a minor universe difference, the underlying question(s) for TELEVISION vary in ways that affect comparability across samples. Some samples, specified below, specify color or plasma versus black and white. Sometimes multiple source variables are used to create the harmonized version.

Comparability - Rounds
The universe changes slightly from all sampled households with a complete interview in rounds 2 through 5 to include only households with electricity in round 6.
