Description

TETANUSYRSAGO records the number of years prior to the most recent pregnancy that a female last received a tetanus toxoid dose.

For a similar variable in Round 3 samples, see TETANUSYEAR for the year of a woman's last tetanus dose prior to her most recent pregnancy.

Comparability

Only women having a birth within the last two years were asked the question, and only if they received fewer than two tetanus injections during the last pregnancy.

Some samples restrict the universe of respondents to ever-married women. Egypt 2013 includes women with a birth in the last five years, whereas all other samples limit responses to women with a birth in the last two years.
