Description
GEO1_EG identifies the household's region of residence within Egypt (rural) in the 2013 MICS survey.
In the 2013 Rural Egypt MICS survey, 159 family health units from more than 170 villages were sampled. These 170 villages were aggregated into the following regions:
- Upper Egypt Pilot
- Upper Egypt Expansion
- Lower Egypt Expansion
The first three digits of GEO1_EG provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code.
The regions in GEO1_EG are not mappable.
