Description

HIVEVERTEST indicates whether the respondent was ever tested for HIV/AIDS.

The variable is available for both women and men respondents.


For female respondents, more specific variables report if and when a woman was tested for HIV/AIDS during the following situations:

Women who had a baby in the last 2 years report if they got an HIV test during antenatal care (Round 3-5 HIVANCTEST) or during the delivery of their baby (Round 4-5 HIVDELTEST);

Women who had a baby in the last 2 years and if they have received an HIV test since the delivery of the child (HIVTESTPOSTPREG).
