Description
For respondents who have done farming and/or fishing work primarily for family use, this variable indicates if the respondent was hired by someone else to do this work.
Comparability
This question was asked of individuals who:
are not currently in school,
who did not report unpaid work activities - such as apprenticeships or internships - in the last 4 weeks(UNPAIDMO),
who did not report any training activities in the last 4 weeks(TRAINMO),
and who did not report working for pay in the last week.
(WORKPAID).
Who did not work for their own business in the last week (WORKBUS),
Who did not report doing work for a family business in the last week (WORKFAMBUS),
report had no job in the last week (WORKABS) or were waiting to start a new job (ABSNEWJOB),
didn't work for an off-season job (WORKSEASON),and/or didn't receive income from an off-season job (ABSINCOME) .
