Description

LASTSEXCONDOM denotes whether the respondent used a condom during their last sexual intercourse.

This variable includes information from both women and men.

Comparability

There are universe differences with respect to age. MICS Round 3 women samples addressed the survey question only to women age 15-24. A small number of samples restrict the universe of respondents based on marital or cohabitation status, fertility history, or sexual experience.

The Cameroon 2006 women sample asked the question only of ever-married women.

Comparability — Mongolia [top]

The Mongolia 2010 and 2012 (Khuvsgul Aimag) women samples asked the question only of ever-married women who had given birth.

The Mongolia 2010 and 2012 (Khuvsgul Aimag) men samples asked the question only of men who ever had biological children or were ever-married. Further, the 2010 sample addressed the question to men age 15-54 (rather than the norm of 15-49.)
