Description
BMIZWHO, also called BMI-for-age z-score, reports the standardized body mass index adjusted for age and sex for children under age 5. Values represent the number of standard deviations above or below the median for the reference population.
The method was originally devised by the WHO Multicenter Growth Reference Study (MGRS) released in 2006.
BMIZWHO is computed by UNICEF from the raw scores reported in BMI.
