Description

ANCFANSIDAR indicates if a woman took Fansidar (also known as SP sulfadoxine and pyrimethamine) for malaria prevention during last pregnancy.

This variable is related to the more general variable, "Did you take anything for malaria prevention during your last pregnancy?" (ANCMALARIAL) found in Rounds 3-5.

Comparability

Some samples restrict the universe of respondents to ever-married women. Sierra Leone 2017 includes women with a birth in the last five years, whereas all other samples limit responses to women with a birth in the last two years.
