Description
This variable indicates if the respondent had a paid job or business, but they were absence in the last week due to leave, illness, seasonality of agricultural activities, strikes, or similar reasons.
Comparability
This question was asked of individuals who:
are not currently in school,
who did not report unpaid work activities - such as apprenticeships or internships - in the last 4 weeks (UNPAIDMO),
who did not report any training activities in the last 4 weeks (TRAINMO),
who did not report working for pay in the last week (WORKPAID),
who did not report doing work for their own business in the last week (WORKBUS),
and who did not report doing work for a family business in the last week (WORKFAMBUS).
