Description

GEO1_FJ identifies the household's division of residence within Fiji in the 2021 MICS survey. Divisions in Fiji are groups of provinces, which are the primary level of geography in Fiji. Below, are the divisions and the corresponding provinces:

  • Central: Naitasiri, Namosi, Rewa, Serua, Tailevu
  • Eastern: Kadavu, Lau, Lomaiviti
  • Northern: Bua, Cakaudrove, Macuata
  • Western: Ba, Nadroga-Navosa, Ra

The first three digits of GEO1_FJ provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code.
