This comprehensive table lists geography variables across all the countries in the IPUMS MICS database. The table lists spatially harmonized and sample-specific geography variables for all samples, provides a zipped GIS file (in shapefile format) for download, as well as map (JPEG) images for all mappable geography variables.
Please note that shapefiles distributed by IPUMS MICS provide generalized boundaries. They are intended to facilitate visual illustrations of IPUMS MICS data rather than precise geographical calculations.
