Description
GEO1_LS identifies the household's ecological zone of residence within Lesotho in the 2018 MICS survey.
Rather than administrative units, the 2018 Lesotho MICS survey identifies four agro-ecological zones: Lowlands; Foothills; Senqu River Valley; Mountains.
The first three digits of GEO1_LS provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code.
