Description

GEO1_KZ identifies the household's region or city of residence within Kazakhstan in the 2006-2015 MICS surveys. Regions are the primary level of geography in Kazakhstan.

The first three digits of GEO1_KZ provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code.

Comparability

Regions in the 2006-2015 samples have identical spatial footprints; there are no comparability issues.
