Description

GEO1_BD2012 identifies the household's division of residence within Bangladesh in the 2012 MICS survey. Divisions are the primary level of geography in Bangladesh.

The first three digits of GEO1_BD2012 provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code. Other geography variables for Bangladesh include the spatiotemporally harmonized GEO1_BD and GEO2_BD, and sample-specific geography in GEO1_BD2006 and GEO1_BD2019.
