Description

GEO1_LB identifies the household's governorate of residence within Lebanon in the 2005 and 2011 MICS surveys. Governorates are the primary level of geography in Lebanon. The surveys specifically cover Palestinian camps in Lebanon.

The first three digits of GEO1_LB provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code.

Comparability

The governorates in the 2005 and 2011 samples have identical spatial footprints; there are no comparability issues.
