GEO1_PY identifies the household's province of residence within Paraguay in the 2016 MICS survey.

Geographic units in the 2016 Paraguay MICS survey consist of eight provinces and one region consisting of all other provinces not individually identified.

• Resto: Amambay, Caazapá, Canindeyú, Concepción, Cordillera, Guaira, Misiones, Ñeembucú, Paraguarí, Presidente Hayes

The first three digits of GEO1_PY provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code.
