Description

GEO1_GW2006 identifies the household's region of residence within Guinea-Bissau in the 2006 MICS survey. Regions in Guinea-Bissau are groups of Administrative regions. Administrative regions are the primary level of geography in Guinea-Bissau.

The first three digits of GEO1_GW2006 provide the country code; the last three digits specify the geographic unit within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code. Other geography variables for Guinea-Bissau include the spatiotemporally harmonized GEO1_GW that applies to all Guinea-Bissau samples, the sample-specific GEO1_GW2014 that applies to 2014, and the sample-specific GEO1_GW2018 that applies to 2018.
