Codes and Frequencies
Description
GEO2_ PK_KP16 identifies the household's district of residence within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan in the 2016 MICS survey. Districts are the third administrative level of geography in Pakistan, after provinces and divisions.
The first six digits of GEO2_PK_KP16 provide the codes for GEO1_PK; the last three digits specifies the district code within the country. Leading zeros are used when the geographical unit within the country requires less than a three-digit code. Other geography variables for Pakistan includes spatiotemporally harmonized GEO1_PK and GEO2_PK, and sample specific geography from GEO2_PK_KP19.
A GIS map (in shapefile format) corresponding to GEO2_PK_KP16 is available on the GIS Boundary files page. The full set of geography variables for all MICS samples and countries can be found at IPUMS MICS Geography.
